So the Mesmer is migrating from screwing up a single target to screwing up an entire mob. Mkay.

NDA or not, I see no problem with this "leak".

The skill descriptions were pretty much coincident to the preview on the Wiki, so it's really no secret anyway...

Wastrel's Worry AoE still with 1s recharge? Cast, tab, cast, tab, ad infinitum ftw.

In all honesty, I can't wait for these to go (and stay) live.

Well, it still ends if they use a skill.

Have you used wastrel's worry lately? The point of the skill is that it only doeals damage if the opponent doesn't use a skill for 3 seconds. And to manage that, you have to interrupt the target. If you alt tab and recast on recharge, without actually preventing skill use, you'll get very little damage out of it. I know, I've tried to use it in PvE...

Going to answer that for you. No. Like how people don't understand how Frustration won't make "spike groups."

Wastrels can be pretty beastly on anything where hexes expire more quickly.

Very true, it's a boss-killer.

I vanquished a vabbi aera in the last couple of days, but I don't know much about mesmer skills(because I can't stand mesmers) but it seemed to me that the roaring ethers casted wasters worry and it was still applied to all members of my party?

We're adapting to PvE need, I guess. 1 mob is useless, PvE is about many mobs.
I prefer that to becoming straight AL-ignoring damage dealers

Well, PvP is "X Party members + Y NPCs" vs "X Party members + Y NPCs". And both sides should have a 50% chance to win. And after each battle the party is refreshed and recovered, and their positions reseted.

But PvE is "X Party members + Y NPCs" vs "Z Hostile NPCs". And the player side should have much more chances to win. And weariness accumulates after each battle. And after each battle, the next comes... or even DURING the current battle.
So you can't really balance PvE to make both sides equal.

I'm only afraid of what NPC mesmers may become. Dealing with one is not a problem. But imagine an enemy party of 6..8 mesmers that can kill the whole party in record time with just 2..3 spells.

How do you handle non-mesmer groups...?

I don't see this update doing such.

Can't wait till it's time for dervish and paragons to be brought up to date. There's some really mean dervish mobs already.

Most of the time, I BURN them after making them waste their skills with minions and/or a melee party party member.
Against areas that mainly have martial weapon users I usually bring air instead.
But armor ignoring skills go through that like a knife through butter.
I hate mesmers. I feel dirty when I'm one, XD.
